Biography

Hervé Guyot was born in 1963 at Bonningues-les-Ardres in the Pas-de-Calais region. A self-taught painter, he works and lives in Calais. He has dedicated himself to painting North Pas-de-Calais landscapes such as the rural and maritime landscapes of the Côte d’Opale and the Flanders region. A painter of nature and open spaces, his canvases reflect the beauty of these landscapes with simplicity and humility. Painting is his way of sharing. “My paintings are a view of our world, our environment, our feelings, our affections and our memories”.
Hervé Guyot’s canvases exude tranquillity and calm. He subtly combines light, stillness and movement, with each canvas capturing a fleeting moment of emotion.

In 2013, the year of his 50 years old, he decided to dedicate himself to his painting.
